Recently, the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission announced the results of the 2022 selection of outstanding cases of international education in Shanghai universities. The "SUMHS International Students Became China-Laos Friendship Envoys to Fight the Epidemic Together" co-authored by the CIE and the Department of Arts and Sciences was rated as an outstanding case in Shanghai. The case fully demonstrates the firm original intention of our university as a guardian of human health under the background of international student education globalization and an international perspective, to build a community with a shared future for mankind, to further enhance our country's international influence, appeal, and shaping power, and to contribute with more Chinese wisdom to solving human problems and the sense of mission and responsibility of the Chinese program.

"Hand in hand, fight the epidemic together" is the main line of international student education in 2020-2022. Through the combination of online and offline learning and communication, SUMHS international students stationed on the campus insist on fighting against the epidemic, or carried out course practice on the spot to give back to their own country. It reflects that our team of international student management responds to the national initiative, pays attention to the quality of international student education and scientific and standardized management, takes the road of connotative development, and attracts more foreign students who are interested in the development of the health industry and health care services to come to Shanghai. The "Belt and Road" strategy provides talent support and intellectual support, and has become an important way for our country to accumulate extensive contacts in the world pattern and realize people-to-people bonds.
